Being prepared beats being surprised
You get a few minutes' notice before you speak on test day. Practising on hundreds of real questions in advance means the topic in front of you is rarely one you have not already thought through.
Part 1 — Interview
Real interview-style topics — Hometown, Work, Studies, Technology, Travel and more — each with 2–3 model answers in different styles (concise, natural with idiom, extended), plus tips and the common mistakes to avoid.
Part 2 — Cue Card
Real-format cue cards, a modelled 1-minute prep-note example so you know how to use your preparation time, and full model answers at Band 7 and Band 8.
Part 3 — Discussion
Follow-up discussion questions for every cue card that teach you how to extend an opinion — state it, justify it, then give an example or a counterpoint — instead of just answering in one line.

Speaking Part 2
Describe a skill you would like to learn.
You should say:
- what the skill is
- how you would learn it
- how long it would take to learn
and explain why you want to learn this skill.
1-minute prep notes — modelled example
skill → cooking / learn → evening course, videos / time → few months, weekly practice / why → independence, health, save money
Model answer
Band 8“One skill I’d genuinely like to pick up is cooking — proper cooking, not just getting by. I think the most realistic way to learn it would be an evening course at a local community centre, backed up with recipe videos for the techniques I get stuck on between classes. Realistically, it would take a good few months of weekly practice before I felt confident putting a full meal together without a recipe in front of me. The main reason I want to learn is independence — I’m tired of relying on takeaways, and I’d like to look after myself properly, both for my health and my bank balance.”

A preparation library, honestly
Speaking practice today is a written library — questions and model answers you read and study, with the same word-lookup tool used across the rest of the app. It is not yet a recording or spoken-practice tool. What it gives you is the ideas, structure and vocabulary to speak confidently once you are in the room.
